The North Houston
Baseball Association begins its 5th Summer season
with high expectations. The league is the result
of the North Houston High School baseball coaches
desire to have their players compete on the highest
level possible during the fall and the summer
while at the same time keeping the cost down to
a bare minimum. The High School coaches will act
as the board of directors for the league to insure
that the highest of standards are up held at all
times.
The Summer season will be played with 20 Teams
competing in the varsity division and 16 teams
competing in the Junior Varsity division and
13 teams in the Fresh/Soph division. The weekly
results will be posted . The format will be
like Major League baseball with an American
and National League. The season will have both
interleague and intraleague play. The end of
the season will have a World Series style tournament
with division champions squaring off for the
World Championship.
The main objective of the NHBA will be to provide
the best possible competition and exposure to
college coaches for all the players in the league.
